Direct Line as a privately owned answering service / inbound telemarketing / order taking company has been managed by the same principles since the company’s inception in 1979. Ruth and Larry Goldenberg and now their son Ken bring solid, professional experience to managing the company.
Ruth graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in education. Ruth was a "working" school teacher. Her training in education, hands-on experience teaching and her attention to detail has proved invaluable in developing the training programs and operational concepts for Direct Line.
And because the human element is so important to our clients, our training programs and on going daily implementation is a key element in our commitment to excellence. Ruth rounded out her business experience by obtaining her MBA from Saint Mary's in 1991.
Larry also graduated from Temple University with a Business degree. After working in accounting, Larry gained invaluable sales experience first at Proctor and Gamble and then Hallmark Cards. At Hallmark, he was promoted to Sales Promotion Manager.
Larry has been very involved in the answering service industry, serving as President of The California Answering Association, and his equipment user group. He has also served on the board and various committees of ATSI – Association of Tele Services International and is the Immediate Past President of ATSI.
Ken graduated from San Diego State University. He is currently vice president in charge of technology and call center operations. These are the two key areas of Direct Line. The quality service we have delivered for over 30 years is driven by the ability of our front line tele receptionists to provide the human
responsiveness and utilize the technological advances of our fully integrated computerized answering system. Ken makes sure both the human and technological elements are functioning at peak efficiency and quality.
In all likelihood your first contact with Direct Line will be with Greg Gottstein, our sales consultant. Greg has considerable experience in banking, owning his own company and for the past 10 years assisting clients in the answering service / call center business. Greg will help you analyze your needs and recommend the proper solution to provide maximum service to you and your clients.
Other Key People
The balance of our key people consists of a call center operations manager –who is responsible for training and motivating our Tele receptionists team; John Freire, a highly skilled IT person who can help create just about any report you may need; our training supervisor Constance Masinga and our Client Services Representative team Dianne Soberanes and Jarunee Lepnark. One of these two experienced reps will be assigned to your account if you choose to select Direct Line. They will be your main contact for updates of instructions, issues that need addressing etc.
With all of the experience and expertise possessed by our management team, the level of quality of service you experience will be determined by our talented well trained and motivated group of front line tele receptionists.
