Direct Line Tele Response was established in 1979 to provide quality tele messaging services in the San Francisco bay area at reasonable rates. Direct Line has been continually, consistently and professionally managed by the original owners, Ruth and Larry Goldenberg. Direct Line now serves
clients in every corner of the United States.

Business Focus has Evolved With The Times
In the beginning our primary focus was on providing 24 hour emergency dispatch services to the medical community and dispatch and messaging services to business and professional clients. While part of our client base has remained consistent, our systems and people have allowed us to offer much more sophisticated services to clients in every profession. We have also evolved into providing call center services including inbound order taking, reservation and information gathering services for a wide variety of clients.

To meet our goal of high quality answering service we have committed ourselves to hiring good people, staffing properly, compensating them well above industry standards, treating them fairly and with respect and thoroughly developing their skills so they can succeed. We have also committed to
investing a high percentage of our profits back into our business to continually upgrade our equipment, systems and facilities.

Advanced Technology
Starting with cord-operated switchboards rented from AT&T and 10 accounts in a rented office, Direct Line now serves over 800 clients utilizing the latest state of the art computer-telephony integrated equipment and software systems. The power of our Pinnacle Computer System is its ability to allow
complete scripting of your information combined with the branching and automatic dispatch capability of the Pinnacle System, Direct Line’s legendary accuracy has been taken to an even higher level.

Professional Facilities
Now located in our own building that was purchased in 1986, and completely remodeled in 2008, Direct Line has established a permanent professionally designed environment to better serve our valued employees and clients.

The People...That Make it Happen

Direct Line as a privately owned answering service / inbound telemarketing / order taking company has been managed by the same principles since the company’s inception in 1979. Ruth and Larry Goldenberg and now their son Ken bring solid, professional experience to managing the company.

Ruth GoldenbergRuth Goldenberg
Ruth graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in education. Ruth was a "working" school teacher. Her training in education, hands-on experience teaching and her attention to detail has proved invaluable in developing the training programs and operational concepts for Direct Line.

And because the human element is so important to our clients, our training programs and on going daily implementation is a key element in our commitment to excellence. Ruth rounded out her business experience by obtaining her MBA from Saint Mary's in 1991.

Larry GoldenbergLarry Goldenberg
Larry also graduated from Temple University with a Business degree. After working in accounting, Larry gained invaluable sales experience first at Proctor and Gamble and then Hallmark Cards. At Hallmark, he was promoted to Sales Promotion Manager.

Larry has been very involved in the answering service industry, serving as President of The California Answering Association, and his equipment user group. He has also served on the board and various committees of ATSI – Association of Tele Services International and is the current President.

Ken GoldenbergKen Goldenberg
Ken graduated from San Diego State University. He is currently vice president in charge of technology and call center operations. These are the two key areas of Direct Line. The quality service we have delivered for over 30 years is driven by the ability of our front line tele receptionists to provide the human
responsiveness and utilize the technological advances of our fully integrated computerized answering system. Ken makes sure both the human and technological elements are functioning at peak efficiency and quality.

Greg GottsteinGreg Gottstein
In all likelihood your first contact with Direct Line will be with Greg Gottstein, our sales consultant. Greg has considerable experience in banking, owning his own company and for the past 10 years assisting clients in the answering service / call center business. Greg will help you analyze your needs and recommend the proper solution to provide maximum service to you and your clients.

Other Key People
The balance of our key people consists of Dan Moy our call center operations manager –who is responsible for training and motivating our Tele receptionists team; John Freire, a highly skilled IT person who can help create just about any report you may need; our training supervisor Constance Masinga and our Client Services Representative team Dianne Soberanes and Jarunee Lepnark. One of these two experienced reps will be assigned to set-up and maintain your account if you choose to select Direct Line. They will be your main contact for updates of instructions, issues that need addressing etc.
